HIGH COURT OF KARNATAKA

Central Zone of Bangalore City covers the heart of the City, and has an area of 48 Sq.kms. The Political Leaders, prominent offices of the State Government and the residences of VIPs are located in the area which include Raj Bhavan (Governor's Residence), Vidhana Soudha (Karnataka Government Secretariat), General Post Office, Bangalore Palace, The High Court of Karnataka, Kanteerava Outdoor and Indoor Stadium, Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium. The Cubbon Park, with various species of plants and a variety of birds is located in this zone and is a major  tourist attraction.  Vishweshwariah museum for Science and Technology and the famous Indian Institute of Science are located here, apart from the busy commercial areas like Mahatma Gandhi road and Brigade Road, Residential areas of Seshadripuram, Sadashivanagar and Vyalikaval.

Neighborhood Watch Committee is active in this zone with around 650 citizens, 101 prominent citizens are appointed as Special Police Officers. Due to their continued support many offences are prevented.

Being a zone with the offices of important functionaries of the State Government, witnesses frequent rallies and protests.

Prominent Clubs, Restaurants, Guest Houses of cultural centres, stadiums and commercial centres make this a busy zone.

The zone has three Asst. Commissioners of Police with headquarters at Seshadripuram, Ulsoorgate and Vidhana Soudha.
