Lalbagh Botanical Garden

The South Zone covers an area of 165 sq.kms and encompasses the residential localities of Jayanagar, J.P.Nagar, Thilaknagar, Banashankari, Koramangala, Madivala, Adugodi, MICO Layout, Kumaraswamy Layout, Hanumanthanagar, Girinagar, K.G.Nagar, Shankarpuram, Basavanagudi, Chamrajpet, Subrmanyapura and Siddapura. This area consists of industries, tourist spots and commercial establishments, besides a number of software units and the famous Indian Institute of Management (IIMB)

The famous Lalbagh Botanical Garden, oldest temple of the Gavigangadhareswara and the Bull temple are situated in this zone.

There are three Assistant Commissioners of Police in this zone with headquarters at Chamrajpet, Jayanagar and Madiwala.

The people residing in this zone have excellent rapport with Police. This zone has enrolled more than 3500 people as members of Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and about 50 citizens as Special Police Officers to prevent occurrence of crime.
