Parihar is a centre for research, training and development of women and children, with an objective to improve the welfare of women and children, to help mentally and physically handicapped, unemployed and distressed women, and abandoned / street / run away children by counselling and training.

Any person who has completed 18 years of age and a citizen of India having desirable education and social background, as well, who has shown keen interest in social work, is eligible to become a member of the society.

Life members : Fees to be paid Rs.5,000/- (non refundable).

Ordinary members :  Fees to be paid is Rs.500/- initially and Rs.100/- annually (non-refundable). The contributions by  way of membership / donations are exempted under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

The Commissioner of  Police, Bangalore City is the Ex-Officio President of  the Governing Body.
