                                       ONE - WAY SYSTEM REVERSES. 

    Cantonment Railway Station Road, Queen's Road, Cunningham Road & Miller's Road will be made a one - way from July 10,2004.

   CANTONMENT RAILWAY STATION ROAD :  Vehicles coming from  Cantonment Railway Under Bridge and Millers Road should move towards Queen's Road junction. Traffic in reverse flow will not be allowed. 

   QUEEN'S ROAD : Which accommodated two way traffic  all these days  has been made one-way . Traffic  flowing  from  Cantonment railway station road is allowed  on this  road to reach  Balekundri Circle. Vehicles will not be allowed in reverse direction on the road from  Balekundri Circle to Railway Station Junction. 

    CUNNINGHAM ROAD : One-way has been reversed on this  road. Existing movement of vehicles form Chandrika Hotel junction to Balekundri  Circle has been banned. Vehicles will be allowed in reverse direction ( from Balekundri Circle to Chandrika Hotel Junction ) on this road. 

    MILLER'S ROAD : The present system of allowing vehicles on the road from Cantonment railway bridge to Chandrika Hotel junction will be stopped. Traffic will move in reverse direction from Chandrika Hotel junction to Cantonment Railway bridge. Vehicles coming from Cunningham Road are allowed to take a turn and enter Miller's tank bund Road. Traffic from Jain Hospital Road Junction to Cunningham Road is banned.

Seshadri Road, K.G. Road and  Palace Road  One-Way from May 1, 2004..

The traffic Police will introduce one-ways from May 1,2004, on Seshadri Road, Kempe Gowda Road, and Palace Road in view of heavy traffic.  

one ways reduce congestion and accidents and ensure safe and smooth flow of traffic.

The following Roads are made as One Way Roads:
  • Kempe Gowda (K.G ) Road : Traffic will be prohibited from Mysore Bank Circle towards Police Corner Circle. Vehicles will be allowed to ply from Police Corner Circle to Mysore Bank Circle.

    Sheshadri  Road : Traffic from K.R.Circel towards Maharani college Circle will be banned, one-way from Anand Rao Circle will be extended till K.R.Circle.

    Palace  Road : Vehicles  from Maharani college Circle (north to south)  will be banned, and traffic from Mysore Bank Circle towards Maharani College Circle will be allowed.

    Old Post Office  Road : One-way  traffic from K.R.Circle will be banned and movement of vehicles, except HTVs (including KSRTC and BMTC buses), will be allowed in both directions. 

    Vehicles coming from K.R.Circle towards Police Corner Circle, including BMTC and KSRTC buses, can take a right turn towards Mysore Bank Circle.

    The BMTC bus stop near Kaveri Bhavan will be shifted in front of S.J.Polytechnic on Sheshadri Road and Magistrate Court on Nrupathunga Road. 

  • Kasturba Road is made one way from Hudson Circle to Siddalingaiah Circle. Motorists travelling on this road can proceed towards Queen Statue Circle and can also take a free Right turn towards Vittal Mallya Road and proceed to Raja Ram Mohan Roy Circle, Richmond Circle etc.

  • Vittal Mallya Road is made one way from Siddalingaiah Circle to R.R.M.R. Circle.
    Entry of vehicles to Vittal Mallya Road from Siddalingaiah Circle is permitted.

  • Inside Cubbon Park Entry of vehicles into Cubbon Park from K.R. Circle is permitted.
    Entry of vehicles into Cubbon Park from Hudson Circle, intending to go to High Court and Vidhana Soudha is permitted.

  • R.R.M.R. Road is made one way from R.R.M.R. Circle to Hudson Circle. Motorists travelling on R.R.M.R. Road Intending to proceed to Lalbagh Road, can enter Devanga Hostel Road (LMV only) and other vehicles, can travel upto N.R. Square, and proceed towards Larbagh Road via., Mission Road. Further, they can also proceed towards City Market via Town HalI Circle. They can proceed towards Police Corner and join District Office Road. Further they can also take & free right turn towards Kasturba road and proceed towards Cubbon Park, M.G. Road etc,. via Slddalingiah Circle.

  • Devanga Hostel Road will continue to be one way as it is now.

  • New Mission Road continues be two way.

  • N.R. Road: Motorists travelling on N.R. Road can take a free left turn to Dlstirct Office Road at Police Comer and proceed towards Mysore Bank Circle, K. R. Circle and Vldhana Soudha. Motorists intending to 90 towards Shivaji Nagar and M. G. Road can take right turn at Police Corner and can proceed further via Hudson Circle and Kasturba Road. At Hudson Circle, vehicles are allowed inside Cubbon park, but they can proceed . only towards K.R. Circle and Nrupathunga Road only. The movement of vehicles from Central Library is barred towards Gopala Gowda Circle. This step is taken in view of the pressure from the public and institutions in order to reduce pollution inside Cubbon Park.

  • District Office Road is made one way from Police Corner to Mysore Bank Circle. Motorists can take a free right turn at Mysore Bank Circle and proceed towards K.R. Circle and then go to Vidhana Soudha. 
    Contra flow is given for BMTC buses and also for the other vehicles intending to go to Cauvery Bhavan, Taluk Office and other Government Offices is given on District Office Road from Mysore Bank Circle to Police Corner.

  • Old Post Office Road is made one way from Mysore Bank Circle to K.R. Circle. There is no entry for any vehicles from K.R. Circle to Maharanis College circle.

  • Palace Road: The existing one way from Maharani's College to Mysore Bank Circle will continue

  • Seshadri Road 2 way traffic is restored between Maharani College circle and K. R. Circle in order to facilitate public, especially advocates who intend to go to City Civil Court and High Court and other Government offices.

  • The movement of Heavy Goods Vehicles and Slow moving vehicles are restricted on all the above said roads.

  • Motorists are requested to follow lane discipline as per the road markings.

  • They are also requested to travel at a speed of 35 to 40 KMPH in order to ensure safety.

Public are requested to co-operate, since this one way system is introduced to reduce accidents and pollution levels and also to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
