DG’s Toll Free Helpline
The
primary reason for the surge in the process of Karnataka Government is
that, it has always given a grave concern and helping hand to the
problems of needy poor citizens, Senior Citizens and HIV Aids affected
people at ground level.
1800 4250 100 is the number you can use freely to call for
police help pass on information about crime and criminals, suggestions
for improvement of police community relations and any grievances
regarding corruption among police or other high handed actions your call
will be recorded and followed up for action and you can get a feed back
on actions taken.
Similar to dial 100 toll free number was
introduced on 13th August 2008. The concept is have wider range of utility where the aggrieved
persons in any part of Karnataka state can seek assistance by lodging his
complaint. The officer incharge hears his
complaint notes down and compute as per the performa and informs concerned
jurisdictional officer and directs him to attend and give the feedback.
It is followed up. On many occasions, cases have been got registered and
FIR’s issued on the complaints received on toll free number. Common
people have appreciated the help of DGP Control Room. So far 1803 calls
have been received on toll free and all calls have been attended.

kin wanted assistance and who are not in a position to contact for

landline/ Mobile

Toll Free Help line No.1800 4250 100 OR 155365
is the number you can use freely to call for police help situated at DGP
Control Room, Police Hqtrs. No.2, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore for the convenience of the General
public.
The Toll Free Help line is a mechanism of the
Police Department to reach to the common man with sole purpose to redress
the grievances and make people to understand the concerned of the Police
organization towards their problem.
The aggrieved person can seek the Police assistances round the
clock from where he is. The calls
made to this Help Line number from anywhere in India are free of cost and
the caller’s identity will be kept confidential if he desires so.
The officer-In-charge of this Toll Free complaint hears their complaints,
note down and computes as per proforma and communicates the same to the
concerned jurisdictional officer to redress the grievance and give the
feedback.

Complaints
against autorickshaw driver.
To address increasing complaints against auto
rickshaws drivers, two new numbers have been added in Traffic Management
Center. Both these
numbers work round the clock & have IVRS facility where one can
record his complaint. These numbers are: 25588444, 25588555. These are in addition to the existing
number: 22943381 which is operational between 10
AM & 6 PM.
Complaints against auto rickshaws can be filed for;
1. Refusal to ply
2. Demanding excess fare
3. Rude behavior
4. Giving lift to strangers
Complaints
can also be filed through our website:

Traffic
police is also distributing more than a lakh complaint cards which can be
mailed to the Enforcement
Center. On
receiving such complaints action will be taken against the autorickshaw
driver. Chronic cases of violations will be referred to Transport
department for cancellation of permits & other stringent legal
actions. Bangalore Traffic Police will do its best to redress the
grievances of commuters.
A
special drive is also being undertaken to punish the autorickshaw drivers
running without Driver’s Information Display Card.
In
the current year, police has booked more than 45000 cases against autorickshaw
drivers.

4. With many parking
lots getting computerized eg. Garuda Mall, Lido Mall, Royal Meenakshi
Mall, Apollo Hospital these have been linked with Traffic Mangement
Center; and in near future Traffic Management Center will be connected to
many more parking lots as well as parking
lots in TTMCs
run by BMTC in real time. Traffic
Police wish to enable parking situation in real time to the
commuters through SMS facility. To get latest information on parking

5. Similarly citizens sell their
vehicles with dully signed delivery note but continue to receive
violation tickets because the purchaser does not transfer the ownership
in his name. This is a serious matter. More than violation tickets the
seller can under- go trauma if the vehicle was to meet with some accident
or involved in some anti-social activity. Traffic Police strongly advices
citizens to ensure transfer to ownership by visiting the RTO along with
buyer and ensure updation of RTO database. To check the vehicle ownership
